​Hi, my name is Wayne Roberts. I hold a Bachelor’s (BEng) in Geotechnical Engineering and a Master’s in Construction Project Management from the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of Portsmouth. I have also completed a year in Astrophysics at Open University, which I intend to finish within the next few years but I have been into Astronomy nearly all my life and pursuing Astrophotography since 2021. 

I live with my three children in Southern England, with access to a bortal four dark site within 25 minutes of my home location and with my home location being a bortal seven. My living arrangements stop me from doing any AP at home due to living in a flat with no local decent (or secure) locations.

My other hobbies include weight training, general exercise (walking Hiking), Warhammer (both fantasy and 40k – including the lore) and PC gaming (The odd wow, D3, COD, Elite Dangerous and Eagle Dynamics DCS world -got to love the F18 which has come from the Top gun films).
