Soul Nebula (also known as Embryo Nebula) or IC1848 is 6500 Ly away from us and is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. The nebula spans the sky the equivalent of four full moons. This Nebula is associated with the Heart Nebula and is referred to as 'The Heart and Soul' and is a star-forming emission region, which has several open clusters within the nebula. (which can be seen in the linked Astrobin (Below)
Open clusters within the Soul Nebula
CR 34 - open cluster
CR 632 - open cluster
CR634 - open cluster
A smaller emission nebula is also in this object - IC 1871 (which can be seen in the bottom left-hand corner of the pictures below)
This is a large area of sky and as you can be seen by the photos below, a wide field is required. Both the Heart and Soul Nebula span 580 Ly across the night sky.

The above pictures show the size of the nebula when using the Zwo 533mc Pro and Skywatcher 72ed. The left-hand side of the nebula is cut off. To fit the full nebula in, you need to move the scope further to the left, yet it will still cut the nebula off. If you are using the 533mc and 72ed it is recommended to do a mosaic style picture moving the scope to another location and then stitch both locations together in post-processing.
The above shows the location of the nebula in Cassiopeia (circled). The constellation is classed as a circumpolar (it does not set) so can be photographed throughout the year, although autumn/ winter times are the best due to longer nights.
Location
RA 02 24 50.8 DEC +59 00 14.4
The setup
Scope - Skywatcher 72ed
Mount - Skywatcher eq5 goto
Guide scope – ZWO 30mm
Guide Camera – ZWO Asi 120mm mini
Control box – ZWO ASIAIR Pro
Filter – Optolong L-eXtreme 1.25mm
Filter drawer next to the camera sensor
Fox Halo 96k power bank
Dew heaters with their own power banks on both guide scope and camera
Bortal 4 location
My exposures were taken after the meridian flip so to capture the full sensor picture with no clipping. Since my shot was not central, large clipping would be needed if I used photos before and after meridian flip in processing.
